it is one of the super parts of living and working in my favorite city by the bay. comfortable neighborhood gems, michelin star restos and a myriad of local, organic produce at our fingertips...has made us lucky little foodies.

my office is a leisurely stroll away from the famed ferry building and its equally awesome farmer's market. and in addition to all of the just picked fruits and veggies, this market boasts an impressive army of food stands cooking up top chef worthy lunches, quickfire style.

so i wasn't surprised but extra excited to hear that one of the food stands, tacolicious, lured 6 SF chefs to their stand to cook their spin on the classic taco during the months of march and april.

and today, one of my beloved italian eats and james beard winner, delfina, will be loaning their chef craig stoll to the  tacolicious crew to make little slices of lunch heaven. woo!

here's to the joy of food.

we were blessed with glorious spring weather this weekend, so we found any and every excuse to bask in the sun -- morning strolls through the park, visiting the sweet hayes valley & pacific heights boutiques, macaroon tasting and a delicious late lunch at one of our favorite seafood cafes.

if the house of missoni was a religion, i would belong to it. 

bold, passionate & fashionable, i have been head-over-heels in love with the italian fashion house since i laid my eyes on their classic, vibrant space-dyed knitwear. then the home collection was born - technicolor rugs, luxurious bedding & throws, pop perfect china - and the dreams of my own little missoni haven began.

so while i save away for my own collection of space-dyed goodness, i am eager to experience the new and fabulous hotels the namesake fashion house will open in the next 2 years. their first hotel already exists in edinburgh, scotland. this spring, a new land of missoni will open in kuwait, then cape town in 2011 and brazil in 2012. the best part? as dazzling and fashionable as the hotel is, the rates are not out of the everyday fashionista's universe (rates in edinburgh are listed at $295/night). so everyone who dreams of their own little missoni heaven, like yours truly, can have their dream come true - even for a weekend.
