hello friends!

i hope everyone's new year is off to a glorious start. it's still frosty and white in lots of spots of the world....which is the perfect excuse for a movie date.

with the globes around the corner, my guy & i have had quite the film-filled holiday to check out those buzzing performances. but there was one that i was saving to watch with my bestie best girlfriend (& the one that the boys would not touch with a ten foot pole).

my fascination & borderline obsession with royalty runs deep. so deep, that i am truly convinced i was a member of a royal court in a past life.

books (phillippa gregory), films (elizabeth, marie antoinette, the duchess, the queen, and so many more), shows (the tudors), travels (buckingham, versailles, schonbrunn, royal pavilion) - you name it, i love it.

and i am thrilled to report that the young victoria was every bit as wonderful as i had hoped it to be. fanciful costumes, opulent palaces and one of the most delicate & purest love stories ever.

love, love, love it to bits......
